Workington Town’s treatment of their overseas stars has helped them re-sign for the Fibrus Community Stadium club.
Both Zarrin Galea and Levi Atiga were at pains to point out that aspect when announcing they were staying.
Maltese international Galea said: “I’m happy were I’m at and couldn’t see myself changing that.
“I went through a period of weighing-up other options and this stood out the most.
“Ever since I arrived so many people have looked after me. My whole time here I’ve never got homesick because it feels like home.”
Galea has signed a two year deal while Kiwi Atiga has agreed a new contract for 2026.
He said: “I love this place. They’ve done a lot for me and my family.”
