Carlisle United have been drawn away to Morecambe when they enter the FA Youth Cup at the second qualifying round stage.
It’s a clash of the two clubs who were relegated to the National League last season.
There will be 70 ties in the next stage of the 2025-26 competition when eligible players must have been born on or after September 1 2007 and before September 1 2010.
Workington are still in the competition but their first qualifying round tie at home to Spennymoor was called off on Friday night because of a very wet pitch.
Workington were also wary because their first team was in NPL action yesterday afternoon against Prescot Cables and any match last night in heavy rain could have had adverse consequences on the pitch.
There’s no new date yet for that tie but the second qualifying round games have been scheduled from Monday September 29.
The winners of Reds and Spennymoor will be at home to Hartlepool United.
The North section of the draw is:
- Morecambe v Carlisle United
