Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves picked up their first point in the Cumberland County League’s Premier Division.
They drew 1-1 at Keswick helped by an important penalty save from goalkeeper Greg Rooney.
Better known for his exploits in rugby league with Wath Brow Hornets, Rooney saved a penalty from Jamie Little with the score at 0-0.
In fact it was a successful penalty by Jack Agnew which gave Celtic the lead before half-time.
Keswick had most of the play in the second-half and got their equaliser through Andy Frampton.
But they weren’t helped by having Kieran Spary sent off 10 minutes from the end for retaliation.
In the end they could have won it but for a fine late save by Rooney to deny Luke Mason.

Celtic were well served by 46-year-old defender Gareth Evans who had come out of retirement to help-out through a shortage of regulars.
The point wasn’t enough to lift Celtic off the foot of the table, and at the top there was a first set-back for leaders Maryport Athletic.
The reigning champions were held to a goalless draw at Wigton Harriers.
Their nearest rivals Unisun Athletic are just a point behind with a game in hand after a 6-2 win at Cockermouth.
