Holders Carlisle City will have to wait to find their opponents in the second round of the Fred Conway County Cup.

They have a home tie against the winners of Cockermouth and Langwathby who meet this Saturday.

Penrith, who were beaten in last season’s final, have been drawn away to Workington Juniors.

Workington Reds, twice in a row winners before City’s triumph, have a home tie against Whitehaven.

Carlisle United have been drawn away to Greystoke, who were 3-2 winners at the weekend at Mirehouse.

The two leading sides in the Cumberland County League have been paired together with Maryport Athletic hosting Unisun Athletic.

Wetheriggs, the only unbeaten side in the Westmorland County League, have an interesting trip to Cleator Moor Celtic of the West Lancashire League.

Celtic had to work hard to level at Wigton Harriers and take it to a penalty shoot-out which they won 4-3.

Windscale, from the Wearside League, make the short trip to Whitehaven Miners Social and the other second round tie sees Fellside at home to Kirkoswald.

Most ties have been arranged for November 8.
