Two of the players who left Whitehaven recently have re-joined Keswick.
George Frampton and Callum Oswald left the Lakes club to sample West Lancashire League football.
Following the departure of manager Jon Karl Benson it was reported that up to seven players had left.
Apart from Frampton and Oswald it’s been reported that Owen Woodburn has joined Windscale in the Wearside League.
Frampton played for Keswick last week in their 6-1 Benevolent Cup win over Whitehaven Miners Social Development side.
But Oswald was under suspension after being sent-off playing for Whitehaven.
However he will be available for tomorrow’s Cumberland County League home clash with Aspatria.
Keswick manager John Phillips said: “That’s a big boost for us as they will be in midfield and that will make a difference.
“Our captain Alfie West was back last week after a month away and he scored a hat-trick for us.
“The way we kept the ball last week was brilliant but obviously having skipper Alfie back and George returning was a massive lift for the team. They lead going forward from mid-field.
“The back four and goalkeeper were solid and it was a great team performance from start to finish.
“Now it’s about taking that performance into Saturday’s game against Aspatria when we are hoping for a decent crowd.”
Both teams have won only once from six Premier Division games.
Keswick do have two draws as well, whereas Aspatria have lost all their other five fixtures.
Mirehouse lost their unbeaten record last week, beaten at home by Whitehaven Miners Social so it will be interesting to see how the Miners fare tomorrow at League leaders Maryport Athletic.
Meanwhile Wigton Harriers are the only team to take points out of Maryport, drawing 0-0 at Barton Laws.
So another intriguon clash tomorrow sees Wigton entertain Maryport’s closest pursuers Unisun Athletic.
Fixtures for tomorrow in the Premier Division are:-
Cockermouth v Mirehouse; Keswick v Aspatria; Maryport Athletic v Whitehaven Miners Social; Wigton Harriers v Unisun Athletic.First Division – Carlisle City Development v Bransty Rangers; Whitehaven Dearham United; Whitehaven Miners Development v Cockermouth reserves; Windscale reserves v Northbank.
