
A 10k organised by Wigton Road Runners has raised over £2,200 for two town organisations.
The event, on October 19, raised cash for Wigton Baths Trust and the John Peel Theatre, the home of Wigton Theatre Club.
A total of 170 people took part and they raised £2,253.04.
Aaron Duncan was the first male finisher in 35:42, and Caroline Lambert was the first female finisher in 38:50.
Wigton Road Runners thanked everyone who supported the race, including marshals, Sue Booth from Bower Park parkrun, who was the lead cyclist, MLP.Photography, Liz’s Kitchen and Wigton Co-op.
The event was sponsored by Innovia and Futamura, and Aqua Pura donated water for the runners.
