Workington Speedway owner Andrew Bain has hinted that big things are already in motion ahead of the 2026 season for the Comets.

He has announced that preparations for the next campaign were well underway and that fans can expect an exciting year both on and off the track.

Bain said: “We’re already deep into discussions about 2026. The aim is to keep building something sustainable and exciting here.

“Supporters can expect to see a few surprises as we put the pieces together.”

Bain believes that momentum will only grow as the club looks ahead to another year of development and progress.

He said: “We’ve learned a lot over our first three seasons — on the track, in management, and in how we connect with our fans.

“That’s given us a strong foundation to make the next steps an 2026 will be about improving the club again and giving the supporters something special.”

While Bain remained tight-lipped about the specifics of team building, he confirmed that discussions were ongoing.

He added: “There’s plenty happening behind the scenes regarding team building.

“We’re committed to assembling a competitive side that will challenge for success and silverware next season.

“Our fans can expect some team news to emerge in the coming few weeks.”

In addition to the 2026 season tickets, which will be released soon, sponsorship packages for next season will also be available.

The packages offer businesses and individuals the opportunity to get involved with Workington Speedway.
