Cumbria’s two survivors in the FA Vase both suffered late agony in their second round ties.
Carlisle City threw away a two goal lead at home to Rossington Main and then went out on a penalty shoot out.
Holker Old Boys had led 1-0 at Albion Sports but right at the end conceded three goals in five minutes to eventually lose 3-2.
Carlisle City got off to a flying start and were 2-0 ahead inside half an hour.
Jordan Holt gave them the lead after only two minutes and Jordan Irving (28) doubled the advantage.

But goals change games and when City got in a tangle at the back to present the visitors with a goal the whole character of the game changed.
After the defensive mix-up Dylan Mantle (59) tucked away the chance and gave Rossington new hope.
City lost their composure, Rossington grew into the game and Archie Micklethwaite levelled after 67 minutes.
Even then City rallied and had opportunities to win it couldn’t find a finish so it went to penalties.

Meanwhile south Cumbrians Holker Old Boys were equally gutted after losing in Bradford to goals in the 85th, 87th and 90th minutes.
After a goalless first half Luke Mitchell had given the visitors the lead on 75 minutes.
But then came the first two of Albion Sports goals to give them the edge until Tom Dawson came up with an 88th minute equaliser.
It looked to be heading to penalties when Nathan Cartman grabbed Albion’s 90th minute winner.
