A man was seriously injured after he was involved in a collision with a forklift on a Lake District road.
Police said they were called at around 3.35pm yesterday, Sunday November 9 to the A5074 near Crosthwaite.
Officers said the incident involved a pedestrian and the forklift and a man in his 30s suffered serious leg injuries.
He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Yesterday evening, police alerted drivers that the road, near Windermere, was closed in both directions following the incident.
