Workington Town have signed Australian centre Braden Leigh on a two-year deal.
Leigh has been playing for Toowoomba-based Queensland Cup side Western Clydesdales, where he played alongside current Town star Levi Atiga.
The 23-year-old was a junior at Wests Tigers and said: “I had a few injuries and stepped away for a bit to get my body right.
“I’ve had a couple of years at Clydesdales and I was looking for a change and to get overseas.
“A lot of the players from Australia recommended here and spoke about how good the culture is and how good the fans are.”
Atiga has signed a deal with Town for 2026 but has been linked with a move to Salford while Town retained the services of star full-buck Zarrin Galea, an Australian who is a Maltese international.
Cooper Howlett, an Australian with the club last season has joined Goole Vikings for 2026.
