Police are investigating a potential hate crime after an altercation between two women in Kirkby Stephen.
The incident happened at around 9am last Wednesday, November 5, at around 9am.
Police said it was believed there was an altercation between two women, one of whom was in a wheelchair.
The force said: “The woman in the wheelchair was shouted at, with comments made about her disability, causing her to be alarmed and distressed.”
