Overnight closures are planned for the M6 southbound in Cumbria this week for vital repairs.
National Highways said the road will be closed between Junction 39 at Penrith and Junction 36 at Crooklands overnight tomorrow, Wednesday November 19 and Thursday November 20.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 5am on both nights.
Contractors will repair the central reservation barrier following recent collisions, carry out resurfacing, and fix joints on two bridges at Castle Howe and Borrowbeck.

A diversion route will be in place, directing road users from the M6 via the A6, A591 and A590 back on to the M6.
