West Cumbrian speedway ace Dan Bewley raced to 13th place in Valentino Rossi’s La 100km dei Campioni in Italy on Saturday.
He had teamed up with Italian MotoE rider Andrea Mantovani in the flat track pairs endurance event, staged on the MotoGP legend’s private track in Italy.
In the end, the Cumbrian’s team finished a lap behind winning pair of MotoGP star Pecco Bagnaia and Augusto Fernandez.
Former Speedway GP world champion Chris Holder took 19th place alongside Italian Supersport rider Biagio Miceli, finishing three laps short of the winners.
The weekend saw the pair mix it with a galaxy of motorcycling stars – from MotoGP and other circuit racing icons to Speedway GP, flat track and other off-road favourites.
The riders included Rossi himself, Pedro Acosta, Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, Nicolo Bulega, Thomas Chareyre, Moto2 star Diogo Moreira and British motorcycling legend Guy Martin.
