Belle Vue have swooped for former Workington Comets star Peter Kildemand – in a move which has been six years in the making!

Kildemand had agreed to join the Aces for the 2020 season which was cancelled due to the pandemic, and he did not return to the UK until last year when he rode for Oxford Spires in the Premiership.

The former Grand Prix winner completed the season with a 5.28 average and will be looking to improve that figure at the National Speedway Stadium.

Kildemand said: “I should have been there before but Covid killed it at the time, so I’m really happy to be there for the coming season.

“It’s an awesome track with some awesome people around it, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

The 36-year-old Dane first rode in England for the Comets in the 2011 and 2012 seasons and when he returned last year rode in the Championship for Berwick as well as Oxford in the Premiership.
