
A Lake District guest house has been put on the market for £1.65 million.
The sale of Moss Grove Organic, in the centre of Grasmere, is being handled by Colliers’ specialist hotels team.
Originally a 20-bedroom hotel, Moss Grove underwent a complete transformation the property was reconfigured into 11 spacious bedrooms, including one suite with a private hot tub.
The refurbishment incorporated environmentally conscious design features such as sheep fleece insulation, organic clay-based paints, natural screen-printed wallpapers, and wool carpets.
Operated entirely under management, Moss Grove Organic delivers a net turnover of £358,959 and has consistently maintained high occupancy levels throughout the year.
Katie Lowe, who acquired the property in 2007, has carried out a range of improvements, including new central heating boilers, modern kitchen, new hot tub, and updated dining room furnishings.
