
A woman has appeared in court accused of possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply after police pulled over a vehicle on the M6 near Carlisle.
The city’s magistrates’ court heard this morning how class A drugs with a potential total street value of around £35,000 were found by officers on December 19 2024. A quarter of a kilo of heroin was located inside a holdall and an eighth of a kilo of cocaine was also seized.
Shaunie Clark, 23, faced two charges during a brief appearance in front of a district judge. Clark pleaded not guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine, with intent to supply, on that date.
Clark’s case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court. She is due to appear in front of a judge for a plea and trial preparation hearing on February 19 In the meantime Clark, of Differick Drive, Lesmahagow, Lanark, has been granted unconditional bail.
