Home ties for west teams in County Sunday Cup

West teams did well in the quarter final draw for the County Sunday Cup – all at home in the four ties.

After being regionalised up to this point, west and east teams were in the hat together and the draw was well received in the west of the county.

The top side is likely to be Northside v Scotby, two of the prominent sides in their respective Sunday leagues.

The Sun or Maryport Amateurs play this weekend and the winners will have a home game against Morton West.

It’s the same with the tie between Dearham Commercial and Lowca Pirates and the winners will be at home to North Bank 1970.

There’s some doubt about the fourth tie as the Senhouse Street Club game with Deer Orchard is the subject of an investigation over an alleged ineligible player.

Senhouse Street won 7-6 in a penalty shoot-out after a 3-3 draw.

Denton Holme will travel to the west for the tie.

The full draw is: Senhouse Street Club or Deer Orchard v Denton Holme; Dearham Commercial or Lowca Pirates v Northbank 1970; The Sun or Maryport Amateurs v Morton West; Northside v Scotby.
