
Lowca Pirates booked their place in the Sunday County Cup quarter finals with a comfortable win at Dearham Commercial.
It gave them a home tie against the Carlisle side North Bank in a last eight round which saw all the west sides with a home draw.
The Pirates were 6-1 winners at Dearham with goals from Harley Cueto (2), Callum Wilson (2), Aaron Wynd and Travis Fyfe.
Recently crowned West Cumberland Sunday League Premier Division champions Northside were in Albert Murphy Trophy action and beat Division One’s Workington Falcons 6-1.
Matty Stephenson (2), Logan Bosward (2) and Shane Roe (2) scored the goals with Dylan Bragg replying for the Falcons.
There was a tight game in the League Cup in which Moresby Rangers came out on top 4-3 at the Sun after they had turned round all square at 1-1.
James Bell (2), Rhys Singleton and Kaleb Crosby scored for Moresby while Zach Martin, Cejay Irvine and Owen Fearon replied for The Sun.
There was only one game played in the Premier Division in which Deer Orchard were comfortable 11-2 winners at Thornhill.
Kyran Bertram (3), Troy Paterson (2), Jayden Fulton, Sam Wright, Luke Graham, Oscar Pickering, Ewan Harrison and Ciaran Poultney were all on target for Orchard. Scott Underwood and Matthew Solsby netted for the hosts.
The other games were played in Division One and both Mirehouse and King’s Arms made up ground on runaway leaders Senhouse Street Club.
Mirehouse were 3-0 winners over Zebras with goals from Ryan Taylor, Kian Sim and Liam Elliot.
King’s Arms were 5-2 winners against Maryport as Kyle Newberry (2), Bobby Fitzpatrick, Kieran Fraser and Lennox Hunter scored, while Ethan Harris and Leighton Almond replied for the visitors.
The other game was a tight affair before Royal Oak built on a 2-1 interval lead to beat the Swan 4-3.
Blake Hardy (2) and Carl Lofthouse (2) shared the Royal Oak goals with Dean Scholey (2) and David Ousby keeping the Swan in the contest.
