
Emergency services were called after two kayakers got into difficulty on the water.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were alerted about the incident by the North West Ambulance Service on Wednesday at around 3.30pm.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service were also called out.
The two people were on Wastwater in a single kayak and Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said they were urgently deployed.
The team said: “The ambulance crew arrived first and confirmed thankfully that both individuals had managed to reach the shore and exit the water.
“They assessed and treated both casualties. Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team assisted by securing and moving the kayak involved to a safe location for later retrieval once the situation was stabilised.”
