Penrith were comfortable winners of their Fred Conway County Cup quarter final at Cleator Moor Celtic.
The Northern League side scored inside a minute and by half-time were 4-0 in front, with the tie finishing 6-0.
Penrith manager Jim Nichols had been apprehensive about the trip after talking to several players who had told him how difficult a place it was to go.
But he was pleased with the professional manner his side went about the job after their flying start and how they used the ball throughout.
Celtic had their best spell between Penrith’s first and second goal but conceding four in the first half was a real body-blow to their hopes.
Connor Hammill (2), Kian Makar and James Bell had given Penrith their half-time advantage and in the second half Luke Brown added the fifth before an own goal rather summed-up Celtic’s disappointing afternoon.

Penrith now join Workington and Kirkoswald in the semi-finals with the final quarter final set for Tuesday night with holders Carlisle City hosting Windscale.
