Workington Comets will open the 2026 season with a home fixture against Redcar Bears on Saturday, April 4.

It’s in the BSN Series of group matches and sees the Comets travel to holders Redcar the following Friday, April 10.

The first meeting in that competition takes place at Scunthorpe on Sunday March 22 as the Scorpions host Redcar in the Northern group.

Workington follow up with two successive home matches against Scunthorpe Scorpions (April 18) and Berwick Bandits (April 25).

They will ride back-to-back away meetings with the same pair on May 1 (Scunthorpe) and May 2 (Berwick).

A full list of fixtures can be found on the Comets website here.

Meanwhile, Workington Speedway promotion has launched a new fan engagement survey designed to enhance every aspect of race day experience and gather ideas to help shape the future of the club.

The survey will also help the promotion better understand their supporters ahead of the forthcoming season and beyond.

Promoter Andrew Bain said: “We encourage all fans to take part and share honest, respectful and constructive feedback.

“It should only take a few minutes to complete, and we’d appreciate you sharing the survey with as many people as possible.

“The more responses we receive, the better our understanding of our fan base will be, helping us make meaningful improvements to the club.”

The survey closes on Saturday February 28 and can be found here.
