
£500,000-worth of heroin was found after police stopped a vehicle in Cumbria.
Officers from the roads policing team stopped the vehicle on Thursday, February 19.
The vehicle was driven by a man.
Police searched the vehicle and found 5kg of heroin, a knife and two other offensive weapons.
Detectives from Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime have charged Jamie Blyth, 39, of Falkland Crescent, Aberdeen with:
- Possession with intent to supply heroin
- Possession of a bladed article
- Two counts of possession of an offensive weapon
He is to appear before South Cumbria Magistrates Court on February 21.
