People are being reminded that Eskmeals beach remains closed to the public.
Millom Coastguard Rescue Team said that an ‘protracted multi-agency incident’ remained ongoing.
It was announced on Friday, February 20 that the beach, between Ravenglass and Bootle, was closed until further notice.
In an update today, Sunday February 22, it said the beach remained closed for safety reasons.
The Millom team and colleagues from Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team have been maintaining a safety cordon.
Millom Coastguard Rescue Team added: “Please respect the cordon and do not enter the area past the red flags.
“We are not at liberty to disclose any further information at this time.
“You may continue to see a Coastguard presence over the coming days.”
