Sebergham Bridge will be closed this week for essential maintenance work.
Contractors, working on behalf of Cumberland Council, are carrying out the work on the bridge’s parapets on the B5305 and began yesterday, Monday, March 2.
The work is expected to last five days and a full 24-hour road closure is in operation.
A diversion is in place.
Workers will be on site from 8am to 4pm each day.
Access will remain available at all times for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists.
Waste collections and bus services will continue as normal.
