Maryport Sunday Night Darts League has moved into the knockout stage and the quarter finals were held this weekend.

One wasn’t because Silloth Bowling Club failed to field a team and gave Miners Arms, Prospect the victory.

Sun Inn A took on Glasson Rangers and they finished 7-4 ahead after a scare en route.

The Aspatria side took an early lead through Zane Alderson hitting a maximum 180 and Mark Harrison making it 2-0, but Glasson fought back as Axl Day, Olly Lowes 152 Off, Scott Heaney and Finley Maguire made it 4-2.

It looked like it might be their third win against the Sun this season but Harrison and Alderson pulled one back and this rallied the side.

Jayden Faulder and Ryan Fisher made it all square then Ken and Matty McCartney made it 5-4 to the home side.

Both trebles were also won by the Aspatria side and they moved safely into the semi finals.

Sun Dial A beat Sun Inn Arrows in their own back yard running out 6-2 winners while Sun Dial B also progressed after beating Elbra and Bowling Club A to make up the semi finals.

The draw for the semi finals will be held next Sunday at Maryport Bowling Club who host the Trebles with a 7.30pm start, £3 entry.
