After 12 defeats in a row it was lucky 13 for Cleator Moor Celtic reserves at the foot of the Cumberland County League Premier Division table.
They recorded their first win, in style, with a 5-1 home success against a Keswick side who have had a really poor run since the turn of the year.
Keswick are now the side just above Celtic in the table and it looks like a battle between them and Wigton Harriers to avoid the second relegation place.
Robbie Bagley (2), Kelvin Amor, Ben Whitworth and Taylor Cueto scored the Celtic goals with returning skipper Alfie West heading the Keswick response.
Wigton Harriers are currently two points better off than Keswick but from a game more.
They are the Division’s draw specialists and although they still have to register a win they collected their eighth one-pointer at Workington Juniors to extend their lead over Keswick.
They had actually led at half-time through Richard O’Keefe but the Juniors earned a point with an equaliser from Mike Kilgour.
The top two both won with Unisun Athletic maintaining their seven point lead over reigning champions Maryport Athletic and both have five games left.
Unisun were successful by 3-0 at Whitehaven Miners with goals from Shane Dosward (2) and Liam Graham after leading 2-0 at the break.

Maryport Athletic were level 1-1 at half-time against visitors Aspatria but pulled away in the second half to win 4-1.
Ciaran Laverty (2), Joe Douglas and Tyler Harrel scored for Maryport after Andrew Ttrestianu had given Aspatria hope in the first half.
The other game was a seven-goal thriller in which Mirehouse edged Cockermouth 4-3 after looking home and hosed at half-time sitting on a 3-0 lead.
Robbie Swinburn, Callum Wilson, Kieran Maguire and Keenan Mackay scored for Mirehouse while Caine Winter, Jayden Fulton and Luke Graham staged the second half fightback by Cockermouth.
In Division One there were wins for the top two and with just two games left it means Dearham are just two points away from clinching the title over Northbank.

Dearham were 3-0 home winners against Windscale reserves with goals from Matty Oglanby, Jack Dunstan and Danny Dryden.
Northbank beat Bransty Rangers 4-3 with goals from Bobby Dixon (2), Ben Smith and Olly Woodruff. Liam O’Pray (2) and Harvey Law responded for Bransty.
Third-in-the-table Cockermouth reserves are officially now out of the title race after they were surprisingly beaten 4-2 at home by Whitehaven reserves.
Joe Martin (2), Aaron Wynd and Shaun Carter earned Whitehaven the points with Troy Paterson and Ewan Trestianu replying for the home side.
Silloth were decisive 6-1 winners at home to Whitehaven Miners Development with goals from Jackson Slack (2), Matty Hornsby (2,), Bradley Wiolliamson and Leo Furesi.
In the other game Unisun Development beat their Carlisle City equivalents 3-0 with goals from Ellis Monaghan, Karlton Rudd and Harley Rooke.
