A holiday park on the edge of the Lake District is set to launch a live, 24-hour wildlife streaming service, giving people a unique insight into the secret lives of animals.
Old Park Wood Holiday Park in Cark will officially unveil Naturewatch TV at its owners’ experience day on Saturday April 4.
Using a network of discreetly and sensitively installed nature cameras, Naturewatch TV captures uninterrupted live footage of wildlife in its natural habitat, allowing owners to watch species such as badgers, deer, woodpeckers and owls from the comfort of their lodge or static caravan.
Alex Hodgson, general manager of Holker Estates Holiday Parks, which owns and operates Old Park Wood Holiday Park, said: “This is about deepening people’s connection to the landscape they’re part of.
“We’re incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by ancient woodland that supports a rich variety of wildlife.
“Naturewatch TV allows owners to observe these animals without disturbance, gaining a fascinating insight into their lives and habits while also encouraging appreciation, protection and harmony with the natural environment.”
