Millom were comfortable winners 4-1 at home to Milnthorpe Corinthians in a South Cumbrian derby in the West Lancashire League.
Conditions didn’t favour good football as a strong wind made control difficult but Millom got better and stronger as the game progressed.
The only goal of the first half came a minute before the break when left back Oliver Pachul fired home a great strike from the edge of the box.
Jamie Pattinson got through one-on-one with the keeper five minutes into the second half and finished clinically, before Aaron Bradley thumped home the third and his first for the club on 62 minutes.

Zach Clark pulled one back for Milnthorpe after 80 minutes but Millom had the final word when Callum High netted their fourth goal in the 89th minute.

Whitehaven looked a bit better in their latest home game with Rossendale and were perhaps a little unfortunate not to get something out of it instead of a 2-1 defeat.
They seemed to have recovered from a slow start and were starting to settle into the game when Rossendale went in front on 36 minutes through Sam Moriarty, who lashed home a strong shot from the edge of the area.
Whitehaven responded well in the second half and deservedly drew level on 65 minutes when Kian Goulding broke through and unselfishly laid the ball across for Piotr Czechura to grab a debut goal.
Unfortunately Whitehaven over-committed in search of a winner and on 78 minutes Rossendale scored through Scott Wylie from a quick counter attack.
Although Whitehaven pressed hard and finished well they couldn’t find another equaliser.

Cleator Moor Celtic scored the first goal against leaders Eagley but ended up on the wrong end of a 4-1 defeat.
Lucas Caige scored the opener on 28 minutes hen he collected a clearance and lifted the ball back over the Eagley keeper for a really well taken goal.
But the defending, which has cost Celtic in previous games, proved their undoing with two goals conceded inside four minutes before half-time from Sam Crook (39) and Alfie Cowan (43) handed the initiative to Eagley,
It had been a very good opening half an hour from Celtic but Eagley showed why they are top and heading for the title with second-half goals from Finlay Stafford (52) and Kieran Lomax (83).
