Workington Town Ladies have been drawn at home in the third round of the Challenge Shield to Championship side Hull FC.
Despite it being the third round, Town have not played a game so far as the first round tie with Bronte Barbarians was given as a walkover.
Then Crosfields, who defeated Keighley in their first round of the Challenge Series failed to raise a team to travel to West Cumbria.
Scheduled opponents Hull FC, however, had a stern test at Rochdale before eventually overcoming the Hornets 20-4.
The date and time for this one is still to be confirmed but will be over the weekend of the 11th/12th April, with the Town men team also at home against Midlands Hurricanes on Sunday April 12 so there may well be scope for a double header.
Meanwhile, two of the Town squad – Evie Tonkin and Kacey Currie – have been named in the Scotland Development squad for 2026.
