The former Hawkshead Brewery Beer Hall could be brought back to life as a new bar.
The hall in Staveley, near Kendal, closed in 2024 by the brewery’s owners, Halewood Artisanal Spirits, which said the leased building was no longer sustainable due to its manually operated equipment and it was consolidating its operations to Flookburgh.
Now, plans have been revealed to transform it into the Nook Bar.
Nicky Coleman has applied for a licence for the premises for the bar, which would have occasional live music, serve food and be a space for community events.
Opening hours would be from 10am to 11.45pm from Monday to Sunday and alcohol sold from 10am to 11.30pm from Monday to Sunday.
The licence application will be considered by Westmorland & Furness Council.
