Train passengers on the West Coast Main Line are facing major delays until the end of the day.
An object caught in the overhead line equipment in the Carnforth area means that all lines are blocked.
Trains running between Lancaster and Oxenholme may be delayed by up to 80 minutes, cancelled or revised.
Train services are unable to run between Lancaster and Carnforth (in both directions).
Services on the following routes may be affected by this disruption:
- Between Barrow in Furness and Preston
- Between Windermere and Preston
