Police probe gender-related verbal abuse in Cumbrian park

Police are investigating after two men shouted gender-related abuse at people in a Cumbrian park.

Classified as hate-related public disorder, the incident happened between 1pm and 5pm on Monday, May 25 at Castle Park in Whitehaven.

It was near the bandstand.

One man is described as white, of a stocky build, in his 30s, wearing a baseball cap and a white or grey T-shirt.

The second man is described as white, of slim build, also in his 30s.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who knows who the men might be to contact them.
