Cumbria pool team after their success.

Cumbria lit up the North West pool scene as they stormed their way to the Regional Shoot Out title after a run of outstanding performances and ice‑cold finishes under pressure.

Competing against powerhouse counties including Lancashire, West Yorkshire and Cheshire, the Cumbrian players showed grit, composure and togetherness from the very first break.

Captain John Martin said: “This is a huge achievement for Cumbria. Winning a regional title after several years without honours is a real statement by this group of players.

“Their commitment and togetherness shone through all day.”

The victory now books Cumbria’s place at the national Shoot Out Championships in Leicester next month – a massive stage and a brilliant opportunity to showcase what the team is all about.

The winning squad was John Martin – captain; John Burns,  Phil Leary, Paul Kipling, Shaun Ayre, Jake Turner, Steve Percival, Rob Shepherd and Paul Ruddick.
