Workington Comets’ Vinnie Foord ran up four straight wins for Edinburgh in their 57-33 win at Buxton in the WSRA National Development League.
But after his four victories he was excluded from the rerun of heat 15 after a first bend incident in which he went down.
The Monarchs Academy recorded all but three of the race wins at Hi-Edge, with Foord unbeaten on 12 points.
Reserve Ben Whalley notched 13+2 while No.1 Jordy Loftus carded 13+1, dropping his only point to Luke Harris in Heat 5.
Alfie Bowtell collected ten for the Bulls, and new signing Jack Roberts notched 9+2 from seven outings, but only four of their seven riders got on the scoreboard.
Monarchs boss Scott Wilson said: “The whole team contributed to the win again, which is the most pleasing aspect.
“The scoreline suggests it was a comfortable afternoon but it certainly wasn’t. The team all had to really battle for their points, Buxton made us work hard.”
Bulls manager Laurence Rogers said: “It’s disappointing to lose so heavily, but they are a very strong side and have already beaten Middlesbrough home and away convincingly and it shows why they are top of the league table.
“We now have to dust ourselves down and put this result behind us and prepare for our next meeting.”
