From Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July, Another Place, The Lake invites locals, visitors and guests to experience the best of courtside atmosphere, lakeside, at its Wimbledon-inspired summer celebration, Game, Set and Match.
Serving outdoor cinema screenings, Champagne Lanson, made-to-order picnic hampers, garden games and themed children’s activities, it’s a chance for everyone to slow the pace and soak up the season.
Across Wimbledon’s two weeks, a four‑metre pop‑up cinema will screen daily matches in the run‑up to, and throughout the finals weekend.
Between court coverage, classic movies will captivate viewers of all ages, with children’s films including Mufasa: The Lion King, Shrek, Peter Rabbit and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone shown at 1pm.
At 7pm, films including Top Gun: Maverick, The Greatest Showman and Mamma Mia! will light up the lawn.
Key FIFA World Cup matches will also be screened, including the quarter-final on Friday 10 July.
From midday, wood-fired pizza and – of course – strawberries and cream will fuel the action from The Glasshouse, while the Land Rover Discovery horsebox bar will serve a menu of seasonal cocktails, including one inspired by Wimbledon favourite, Pimms.

Both guests and visitors can take their pick from the chef’s new Picnic Menu, with freshly made hampers filled with sandwiches, savoury snacks, scones, cakes and soft drinks available to order 24 hours in advance for eating in the grounds while watching the on-screen action.
Themed family activities, inspired by the children’s cinema screenings and bookable online, will add to the buzz.
Young explorers can:
- Follow a Lion King safari scavenger hunt
- Get up close with the real-life animals you might find in Mr McGregor’s garden or take part in a Peter Rabbit trail through the grounds
- Step into the wizarding world for a morning of spells, potions and wand-making
- Transform into fairytale characters with Shrek-inspired face painting or decorate their very own gingerbread man.
From boules to croquet, quoits to giant Jenga, traditional outdoor games on the grass will encourage guests to get into the sporting spirit.
