A 22-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent after a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured on Broad Close, Barrow on Wednesday evening (24 April).
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Aaron Webb of Brewery Street, Barrow was also charged with producing a Class B drug (cannabis).”
Officers were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 11.30pm after a report of the boy having been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital in a stable but critical condition.
Webb is due to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (27 April).
