Detectives in Carlisle are currently investigating a burglary where large quantities of a prescription-only drug were stolen.

Large amounts of Pregabalin were stolen from Well Pharmacy in the Fusehill Street area of Carlisle, overnight, between March 13 and March 14.

DC Matthew Graham said: “These drugs are only normally administered following clinical advice. Anyone taking them is putting their health at serious risk. If taken these drugs could lead to serious injury or death.

“Please take a good look at the packaging in the picture and if you are offered these drugs or see anyone acting suspiciously in possession of these drugs, please report your concerns immediately to police.

“Anyone who thinks they’ve taken any of these drugs should go straight to A&E and take the packaging with them.”

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the hours of darkness on March 12, 13 and 14 in the Fusehill Street area of Carlisle is urged to contact detectives with information via 101 quoting reference 33 of March 14

You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, to report information anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
