West Cumbrian forward Jamie Blamire scored again in England’s latest international success, a 32-15 win over Australia at Twickenham.
It took Blamire’s tally kept up his remarkable scoring run for England by scoring his sixth try in only four internationals.
Again he was used as a replacement by coach Eddie Jones and once more he delivered with a try, only the second in England’s match winning performance.
They had scored after only six minutes when full-back Freddie Steward started a man of the match display by slicing through for the first try.
But then it was a case of penalties from both sides and early in the second half it was just 16-15 to England.
The game had got scrappy before England edged clear through a series of penalties before replacement hooker Blamire took advantage of some tired, stretched defence to dribve through for his latest international try.
Blamire, 23, plays for Newcastle Falcons but learnt his rugby at Stainburn School, Workington and sampled both rugby union with Workington Zebras and rugby league with his village side Seaton Rangers.
Blamire is part of the new generation being introduced by head coach Eddie Jones as he builds for the next World Cup to be held in France in 2023.
