Firefighters tackled a blaze at a Pooley Bridge pub in the early hours.
Crews from Penrith attended the incident at the Sun, which involved the pub’s log shed to the back of the venue, at about 2.30am.
A spokesman for Penrith Fire Station said: “Due to our fast response to this incident and the owner’s quick actions prior to our arrival, we were able to prevent the fire spreading into the building and becoming much worse.”
