Friends and family came together to say goodbye to Natalie and Harry Kane.
The 27-year-old mother and her one-year-old son were celebrated at a joint funeral service in St Mary’s Church in Maryport.
Natalie and Harry were found at an address in Whitehaven on December 30 after concerns were raised about Natalie’s welfare.
Natalie grew up in Maryport and was a former pupil of Netherhall School.
She was in the army for four years before returning to West Cumbria.
Her family have described her as a lovely woman and an amazing mother to Harry.
Friends Stacey Hackett and Ashton Graham paid tribute to Natalie during the service and the eulogy was written by Rachel Holliday, of Women Out West.
Tributes also came from Copeland MP Trudy Harrison and Cumbria’s police and crime commissioner Peter McCall.
- The photographer had permission to attend the funeral.
