Cumbria rugby union is to celebrate its finest hours – the 1997 County Championship win at Twickenham.
Recording the fact it took place 25 years ago, the County will be holding a celebratory anniversary dinner at the Aspatria club on Friday, September 9.
All the Cumbria squad members from that triumphant day against Somerset will be attending the event which will be under the guidance of popular MC Howard Nicholson.
Numerous speakers will be saying a few words, including the captain Mark Richardson who lifted the trophy, and Malcolm Brown, the current Cumbria RU President.
