It’s proved to be quite a week for FC Cosmos in the Egremont Sunday League.
The club won their second trophy on successive Sundays, and again it was Thornhill on the receiving end.
Cosmos won the Kenny Hailes Memorial Trophy last week after a 1-1 draw when they won the penalty shoot-out.
It didn’t go as long this time in the John Dixon Memorial Trophy as a Ben Graham hat-trick settled it in the 90 minutes.

Cosmos won 3-1 but Laurie Black pulled it back to 2-1 at one stage and in the second-half Thornhill were guilty of missing a number of good chances.
In the end, however, Cosmos deserved their victory and proved to be a well-organised side in completing their trophy double.
