A woman was sexually assaulted by a man selling mattresses in West Cumbria.

The attack took place in the area of Rye Hill Road in Flimby on March 2.

Officers are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to two men who were going door to door selling mattresses in the Flimby area on the date of the incident.

It is alleged that between 12.30pm and 1pm one of the men has attended an address in the area and whilst selling these mattresses has sexually assaulted a woman.

One of the men is described as white, around 50-years-old, with grey hair. He was wearing a white collared shirt and a blue and red tie. It is believed that he does not speak with a local accent.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit, quoting incident number 170 of March 2. You can also phone on 101.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
