Danger from a gas leak has forced Penrith’s Beacon Edge to close.
An emergency road closure has been put in place by Cumbria County Council for 21 days from today, August 3, due to the potential danger.
The road will be closed from its junction with Fell Lane in a westerly direction towards the A686 for about 245m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
