A Maryport man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
Officers were contacted at 8.55pm yesterday to the report of a concern for welfare of a 31-year-old male at a property on Princess Drive.
Armed officers were deployed as a precaution.
The male was found in possession of a knife inside the address. There was none else in the property and a cordon was put in place during the incident.
The man was taken to hospital with a foot injury and is now in police custody.
