A woman has been arrested following a fire in Whitehaven town centre.
The 51-year-old woman from Whitehaven has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and cause criminal damage.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service tackled the blaze on Duke Street today, September 2.
A woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Whitehaven’s West Cumberland Hospital.
People were asked to avoid the area while emergency services responded
