A 12-year-old girl will take part in the Junior Great North Run this weekend to raise funds for St Bees RNLI.
Amisha Naurang has been a keen runner for the last four years. She represented her primary school at regional level and was very successful in both athletics and gymnastics.
Since joining St Bees School, Amisha has had support from her teacher Zoe Bettinson and many of their staff – who spend their lunchtimes running with her.
Amisha said: “I wanted to raise money for the RNLI volunteers after attending their open day and realised what great work they do in St Bees.”
She will take part in the 4k event, in Newcastle, on Saturday.
