Jenny’s Quest took a two-point lead in the race for the HTA senior championship with a win at Helton on Sunday.
She leads Duchess Ava who appears to be struggling to get back onto the trail field after a recent injury.
Winterfell, who could only manage second place sat Seaton on Saturday, is now four points behind the table leader.
Kirkhead Rebel finished second to Jenny’s Quest and that’s the 14th time this season that Roy Laidler’s hound has had to settle for second place in a trail.
It proved to be a successful day for Denise Bland and her hounds as she followed up with two more winners to complete a treble.

In the race for restricted hounds, with 12 runners, it was Huntsman’s Quirk who beat home Colin Satterthwaite’s Thorn Snap.
Then in the open pups it was her table leader Huntsman’s Rebel who went on to register her 31st win of the season to complete the treble. She beat Malcolm and Ann Holmes’ Sweet Dreams.

A trail for puppy maidens completed proceedings but there were only four runners.
Chris Henderson’s Shine On beat Huntsman’s Ruby, now owned by Stephen Riley.
