Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident in Workington.

It was reported to have happened on Sunday, November 20, between 9.45am and 10.45am.

A woman reported being assaulted by another woman, who was with a number of men at the time. She was not hurt.

The location was on the Westfield Bridge, above the cyclepath, at Westfield Drive, between the Moorclose and Westfield areas.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from a man who walked past and who may have seen what happened.

The man is described as being quite tall and skinny, having short dark hair, wearing a black jacket.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone else who may have witnessed this incident or who can provide CCTV or dashcam of the area at the time.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it , quoting incident 17 of November 21 or call 101.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
