As expected, Mossley’s Seel Park pitch failed an afternoon pitch inspection.
It means Workington Reds have had their third successive game postponed following Bootle (home) and Colne (away).
New dates for all three will be confirmed shortly but for the moment Reds can only hope Borough Park is in good condition for the Boxing Day game with Kidsgrove Athletic.
That fixture caused a few raised eyebrows, especially at Kidsgrove, as they will probably have the longest trip for any Boxing Day fixture in NPL West.
Kidsgrove have moved steadily up the table and are currently sixth, six points behind the Reds from the same number of games.
